Whitley Bay F.C., from the seaside town of Whitley Bay in north-east England, are nicknamed "The Seahorses". The club adopted the seahorse as its emblem after a fan competition in the 1964-65 season.

On Futbol Island the pool seahorse can be caught at:

• Boulder Cove: A rocky cove on Summit Isle’s far shore, piled with boulders, right round the coast from the sandbar. Shy animals shelter in the cracks between the rocks.

Size on the island: 8–16 cm.
