A snook has a black stripe down its side, like the line on a running track. It hunts where rivers meet the sea in Costa Rica, a team that once surprised everyone at the World Cup. This one comes in at sunset, when the shadows are long.
On Futbol Island the common snook can be caught at:
- Farm Beach: The sunny south beach below Coral Cay Farm. Cod and haddock nose along the sandy bottom, and the farmers swap fruit for the catch.
Comes out at sunset.
Size on the island: 40–100 cm.
