Kochi United SC, from Kochi in Japan, have a leaping bonito, or skipjack tuna, drawn in the centre of their badge. In 2025 they played in the J3 League for the first time.

A skipjack never sits still: it skips along the top of the waves. Kochi United liked that jump so much they put a leaping skipjack on their badge. This one is practising its badge pose.

• South Pier Fishing Station: The old fishing station at the end of the South Pier. Mackerel shoals pass here.
