A silky shark has smooth, soft-feeling skin and swims fast through the open channel. A Chivas player was nicknamed "Tiburón" because a boy at his trial said he looked like a shark. This one has been told it looks like a footballer.
On Futbol Island the silky shark can be caught at:
- Channel Bend: The causeway's big bend over the deepest water between the two islands. Shoals swim through the open channel, and now and then a tuna or a little shark follows them.
Size on the island: 80–200 cm.
