A giant oarfish is long and silver like a ribbon, with a red crest on its head like a feather. It is the longest bony fish in the sea, longer than a minibus. In 2011 Japan won the Women's World Cup, and this ribbon would make a fine prize ribbon.
On Futbol Island the giant oarfish can be caught at:
- Deep Sea Boat: A little fishing boat moored far out in the deep blue bay, north of the East Jetty. Squid, marlin and stranger things swim far below.
- Summit Deep Boat: A second little fishing boat, moored in the deep channel west of Summit Isle. Green, deep water where tuna, sailfish and marlin hunt the bait balls.
Size on the island: 200–800 cm.
