A mantis shrimp has a super-fast punch and big eyes on stalks that see more colours than we can. In Japan, home of the Samurai Blue, it digs a tunnel in the sand with a front door and a back door. This one practises its punch like a goalkeeper punching a cross clear.
On Futbol Island the japanese mantis shrimp can be caught at:
- Farm Beach: The sunny south beach below Coral Cay Farm. Cod and haddock nose along the sandy bottom, and the farmers swap fruit for the catch.
Size on the island: 10–20 cm.
