Panamá Viejo F.C., nicknamed "Los Cangrejeros" (the Crabbers), won the Panamanian championship in 2000-01. It was their only title before the club closed in 2001.

Ghost crabs are sandy-coloured and run very fast, then freeze so you can hardly see them. Panamá Viejo were "Los Cangrejeros" and won one big title. This one sprints sideways along the jetty like a full-back overlapping.

On Futbol Island the ghost crab can be caught at:

• East Jetty Spiral: The outer curve of the spiral at the end of the East Jetty, out past the farmers market. Deeper water than the shore, so a tuna or an octopus sometimes swims by.

Size on the island: 4–8 cm.
